To ensure the safety of staff, our partners and members of the public, the CCGs in Sussex are hosting their Annual General Meetings online next month.
The meetings, which share achievements and challenges during 2019-20 for the local NHS, will take place digitally for the first time.
This takes into account the current situation following the Covid-19 pandemic, and also may mean that new audiences, who may not have previously been able to travel to attend, will be able to join us for the AGMs.
They are being held for:
- West Sussex on 08 September 2020 from 2.00pm – 3.30pm
- East Sussex on 09 September 2020 from 12.00pm – 1.30pm
- Brighton and Hove on 15 September 2020 from 2.00pm – 3.30pm
The AGMs will be an opportunity to look back on the previous year, as well as look at how we are working now and our plans for the future.
2019-20 was a significant year for our CCGs in Sussex; we started the year as eight CCGs, East Surrey CCG joined Surrey Heartlands CCGs in July and we then merged to form three CCGs in line with local authority boundaries. Legal directions were lifted by NHS England across our CCGs and a new operating model was launched to align the way we work more closely with our system partners.
Improvements in patient care were made, particularly to improve access to primary care, improve the way people are discharged from hospital and how the NHS works with partners to support people to stay and live well.
As we approached the end of the financial year the Covid-19 pandemic took hold and the CCGs have worked with our partners through difficult times to make sure the health and care system across Sussex was able to cope with the urgent demand and local populations got the care they needed at this time of national emergency.
If you would like to join us for the AGMs, please email email@example.com to register your place and to receive joining instructions.
